If there's one thing guaranteed to turn heads when visitors come calling to your apartment is a really unusual centerpiece decorating your main room. Depending upon the time of the year, it could be a birthday celebration, a party for a wedding anniversary, a Christmas get together or some other important event that calls for putting up the decorations and making with the merriment.

Of course if you are limited in space as you are in most apartments, you won't really have this choice and will have to put up with an artificial tree.

But that doesn't mean you have to go half measures when it comes to sprucing it up. Super slim pencil trees that look pretty realistic can totally come to life when you add the right measure of decorative creativity in the form of lighting and baubles and other shiny things that look right and not out of place.
